Turquoise Traveller - David John Griffin
David's on-going mission as an author is to produce absorbing, page-turning stories with a literary depth. His novels, with genres covering mystery, gothic and psychological, always have elements of magical realism within. He also writes short stories and at the end of each, aims for that surprising "twist in the tail".
We enjoyed our time with David, it's always a joy to get to know a little about the man behind the book, and this was no exception.
You can have a nosy online too, David has an online presence right here: David John Griffin

Bare Books Podcast - The Dark Inheritance v Stranger at St Brides
We have been sat with our feet up reading recommended titles again this week. Mine was the Dark Inheritance by Liane Carmen, which I read on the strength of her debut novel, Where the Truth Hides. April has read Stranger at St Brides which is the second book to Secret at St Brides by Debbie Young that she came across while browsing t'internet. These two books really couldn't be any different. Which one would you read?

Painting The White House - Hal Marcovitz
We enjoyed our time with Hal, it's always a joy to get to know a little about the man behind the book, and this was no exception. With decades of journalism behind him, turning his pen to this work of fiction was a no brainer.  Funny things have been going on at the White House for centuries. Consider the problems encountered by President Abe Robbins in this fun novel. First Lady Janey Robbins likes to hang out in biker bars and First Daughter Jodie Robbins gets herself kicked out of Yale, and that's just the tip of the iceberg.
